Technology

Calcium Carbonate is chemically known as CaCO3. It is manufactured via a series of controlled chemical reactions. Generally, quicklime (CaO) is mixed with water to form a slurry and carbon dioxide gas is added. The resulting reaction produces a very fine precipitated calcium carbonate (CaCO3). This PCC can be shipped in slurry form or dried and packaged. Only high purity lime stones are used as raw material for all grades of products. Precipitated Calcium Carbonate is used in applications that demand exacting specifications of particle size, particle size distribution and physical color. The Activation of Stearic Acid is carried out on CaCO3 for the specific requirement of the user.
